Choosing between sushi sets and bento
Wasabi’s two main formats suit different appetites. Large sushi sets such as the Tokyo Salmon Set, the Rainbow Set and the Harmony Set are cold, rice-and-fish meals, good for a light lunch or sharing. Hot bento boxes such as Chicken Katsu Curry, Sweet Chilli Chicken and Korean BBQ Chicken are warm, more filling meals with rice and sides. If you want the lowest price, the official bento bundle of a mini bento, a side and a drink starts from £8.95.
Tips for saving

Tips for a Wasabi lunch on a budget
The bundle price is the most predictable way to eat at Wasabi because it includes a mini bento, a side and a drink. If you prefer sushi, a large set may cost more but can be shared between two people. Check the labels for calories if you track them, and look for combinations that include vegetables or salad to balance a rice-heavy meal.
If you are a regular, use the rewards scheme to earn points. If you are visiting an airport branch, remember that the rewards scheme is not available there.
Where to find Wasabi
Wasabi shops are typically in busy commuter and shopping areas, which matches the brand’s positioning as quick, convenient Japanese-inspired fast food. Wikipedia reported 41 outlets in England in February 2024, 35 of them in London, so London visitors have the most choice. Use the store locator on the Wasabi website to find opening hours and to check whether your branch offers hot bento, which not every small site may stock.
